Magical Me (For ages 5-8 or for anyone looking for magic!)

There’s a mirror in Sophie’s classroom her teacher calls magic. Sophie doesn’t believe in magic. She’s not good at anything. Jude who sits beside her tells her so all the time. But when the children in her class say the Magical Me rhyme and stand in front of the gold mirror, Sophie sees for herself how they start to believe.

With the help of her best friend, will Sophie realise that she has magic inside her too? And that maybe magic mirrors don't just belong in Fairy Tales.

A bit about me!

I am a Primary school teacher and a mother of 3.

I worked in company law for 10 years before giving it up 12 years ago to train as a primary school teacher. I now have the honour of helping to make a difference in children’s lives every day. Just like in my book Magical Me, I have a magic mirror in my own classroom.

I have seen first-hand how much of a difference it can make to children and how it can positively impact their confidence.

These children are the inspiration behind my first book.

A great book for supporting youngsters to seek confidence in themselves. Here's hoping this story helps many more children to find their voice.

Magical Me" takes readers on a journey of self-discovery. The narrative, encourages children to embrace their unique qualities and cultivate self-love. It beautifully highlights the importance of kindness, empathy, and self-acceptance, making it an invaluable resource for fostering a positive mindset in children. I’m looking forward to purchasing a copy so I can read it to all the children in assembly.

I thought this book was truly fantastic. I can't say there is one thing I would change. It was inspiring for me, never mind children. I felt myself being lifted up by Sophie, and thinking, "I can do this!" I love it! Well done.

Gail Molyneux Author

I loved reading this wonderful story. It illustrates the struggles children can demonstrate and that bullies can have problems behind their behaviours. It has all been done without being preachy. I love the mirror idea and the rhyme is great.

Stefanie Lily Former teacher and author.

Absolutely love this book and can imagine children across the world saying the ‘Magical Me’ rhyme.
This is such a lovely story to help children believe in themselves. Every child should have a copy of this wonderful book.

Carol Pollard Author of Twit Twoo, Where are You?

Fiona is an amazing teacher and author who has been on her own personal journey to create the most remarkable book. It has elements of magic, is beautifully written and will undoubtedly help many children to believe in themselves. It’s been a real pleasure being involved. Thank you.

Sarah McGeough Author of The Flamingo Family book series & Book Coach

I read Magical Me to my five year old grandson. He really enjoyed it and it sparked a conversation about a girl who was bullying him at school. If you want a thought provoking and inspirational read for your young children I can thoroughly recommend this book.

Every child needs a Ms Prim in their lives to instill a little self belief! A lovely story for all children who need to be reminded to speak kindly to themselves and to celebrate their achievements.
